Grizzly Bear Workshop

This online live workshop is designed for people with little experience of drawing in coloured pencils. It can also be used as a refresher if you haven't picked up your pencils for a while or if you would just like to learn some new techniques.

We will discuss materials including pencils, paper and other tools. I will then take you step by step, through each stage of drawing a beautifully realistic grizzly bear. The character of grizzlies will make this a really interesting exercise for any one interested in drawing faces and wildlife in general. We will experiment with different techniques so that you can go away with the confidence to work on a variety of animals yourself. I will be drawing live on camera whilst explaining everything I am doing and you are welcome to ask any questions as we go along.

The course will be held on Saturday July 19th at 9am MDT (4pm GMT) and will last for 5 hours.

A reference photo of a grizzly which you can either print or have on a tablet next to your drawing

a line drawing in reverse so that you can trace over and then transfer by scribbling on the back of the paper. 

The class will be held on Zoom, I cannot be held responsible for any participants poor internet connection. You do not need a webcam to participate but if you would like to use it that would be great, I will still be able to hear you! 

All workshops can be recorded to keep for future use and I will explain how to do this when we start the workshop. At the end of the workshop, feel free to show us your artwork but don't worry if you would like to keep it private.
